Medication cupboard at the Mythenpark Senior Center

From the initial idea to the final installation of the new medication cupboards, the Mythenpark Senior Center was supported by Wiegand AG.

Centrally located in Goldau, the center offers 70 residents a comfortable and secure home. Hospitality is a top priority; the café is open daily to the local community, and public events are regularly hosted. Mythenpark is an integral part of village life.

To continue meeting the needs of both residents and nursing staff, it was decided to replace the aging medication cupboards. All three nursing stations were to receive new, uniform cupboards. The new setup needed to provide more space for the growing medication volume while meeting regulatory and storage requirements.

Renovation of the Nursing Stations

Wiegand AG accompanied the Mythenpark team through the entire process. A comprehensive needs analysis formed the foundation of the project, allowing a tailored solution to be developed. This was followed by renovation planning.
To ensure efficient and safe medication administration, the Wiegand weekly system was introduced alongside the new cupboards. Each station was also equipped with Wiegand dressing and nursing trolleys to ensure a smooth medication process from the station to the residents.

Thanks to the new cupboards, storage capacity in all three stations has been significantly improved. Medications are now stored securely and clearly, thanks to lockable compartments with batch codes.
Using the Wiegand weekly system further optimized medication preparation, enabling more efficient workflows and allowing skilled nursing staff to focus more on patient care.

Conclusion: Mythenpark Senior Center is very satisfied with the Wiegand solution. The planning and installation with Wiegand AG and the carpenter went smoothly. The cupboards fulfill all functional needs by combining storage, medication preparation, and refrigeration in one. Mythenpark is now well-prepared for the future.
