Automation in every department

Whether it’s on the wards in hospitals, in care homes, in a central pharmacy store, or at any other stage in the flow of products used in healthcare – automation can reduce our workload and maximise effectiveness in product management. It allows resources to be freed up, which means that our professionals can focus on their working tasks which really matter. You can free your healthcare workers from time spent placing orders, putting away deliveries of materials, and even stock-taking. But how?

  • Optimise your product range
  • Organise your materials in a structured way
  • Optimise your processes in a sustainable way
  • Clearly define areas of expertise and responsibility

And follow in the footsteps of countless other organisations – choose a product management system by SmartLogistics.

Automated materials logistics

Automation of process steps is a key approach to increasing efficiency. Automated systems to determine material needs can do away with last-minute ordering, error-prone assessments of what is needed, in what quantity, and so much more. Our solutions make use of different sensors in order to determine material needs right at the point of use. A tried-and-tested sensor in this regard is the weighing scale.

When using our product AutoInventory, you can place an item on the scale and the system can determine exactly how much is currently remaining – a fully-automated process can then place an order via the materials management system. This determination of material needs is achieved with minimal effort, whilst ensuring maximum quality. The logistics team receives orders directly to the warehouse, picks the required items, and then only has to bring the order back to the ward to replenish the original point of use. This skips over multiple process steps, taking a load off all the departments involved – both in logistics and on the healthcare side.

Comprehensive materials management for theatre

Work with us, and together we can find the perfect solution for materials management in your theatre spaces! Our scales-based materials management system, AutoInventory, takes care of automatic restocking for all those consumables you use day-to-day. Any items that are either too small, or which have special requirements for the ordering process, e.g. bespoke-order good, can be managed with ScanInventory. For implants and other expensive materials, RadioInventory is the best option. It is you and your budget that really decides where the lines between the different products are drawn. If our processes cannot provide a complete solution that meets all of your needs, then we can quickly and easily adapt our existing products.

Your solution, perfectly adapted to your processes

  • Take the strain off your staff
  • Maximum material availability – never let a lack of materials be the reason for cancelling an operation again
  • Can be used for all materials needed in theatre

Calculate materials exactly for each case – with minimal effort

Install AutoInventory or RadioInventory in the areas where materials and products are stored which you would like to add to invoices, and you can simply attribute any items used to a patient file. Materials management with AutoInventory allows for all products to be managed in this way, and assigned to cases. Management using RFID tags is particularly suited to more expensive or bulky items, or for items where more information needs to be input for the specific case, e.g. serial and batch numbers.

  • Improved invoicing of used material
  • More value added
  • Significant removal of burdens to healthcare staff by assigning used materials to patient files.
  • Take the strain of healthcare and logistics staff
