LIGHT ward round trolley in Action
At the am Bach medical practice, several medical assistants often work simultaneously under high workload, which can result in a shortage of available workstations. The practice’s need was clear: a flexible and mobile workstation was required to create additional workspace when needed.
An initial attempt was made to solve this using existing furniture, but these solutions proved unsatisfactory in the long term and were not mobile. Ms. Eveline Plattner Gürtler came up with the idea that a small, mobile trolley would be more practical. From her experience in a clinical environment, she was already familiar with the use of trolleys as mobile workstations and turned to Wiegand AG.
To ensure that Wiegand AG could offer a functional solution, the LIGHT ward round trolley was provided to the practice team for a trial period. Even during this test phase, the trolley quickly won over medical assistant Michele Bienz and her colleagues.
The trolley is highly appreciated for its sleek and timeless design. The height-adjustable feature and the elegantly designed base allow for ergonomic use. Only an additional foldable work surface would make the trolley even more practical for the staff. With the valuable feedback from the practice, Wiegand AG was able to further develop the trolley and can now offer useful accessories – such as the fold-out work surface.
Today, the LIGHT ward round trolley is used as a flexible workspace at the practice. Equipped with a laptop, it serves as an additional computer station or a practical all-rounder for office and medical tasks. The team around Ms. Eveline Plattner Gürtler and Ms. Michele Bienz is highly satisfied with the solution and uses the trolley on a daily basis.
