The 5 Stern Pet Hotel is a true vacation paradise for dogs, cats, and small animals in Niedergösgen. It was established in collaboration with the cantonal veterinary office and offers an all-inclusive service for pets.
However, the storage and dispensing of medication posed a challenge: the entire process—from clearly organized storage to the safe dispensing of medication to patients in the dog department on the ground floor and the cat department on the first floor—was difficult for the team. Medications were stored on an open shelf, which offered too little space and made organized storage impossible.
The pet hotel was therefore looking for a neat, secure, and lockable solution for the storage and dispensing of medications for their animal guests. Another requirement was sufficient storage space for medications and materials.
After consultation and needs analysis by Wiegand AG, a suitable concept was developed. Wiegand medication storage cabinets were recommended to ensure safe and organized storage. When combined with the Wiegand weekly system, patient safety is ensured up to the point of administration.
