Wiegand AG turns 50

Wiegand AG started as a sole proprietorship under the name Frank F. Wiegand Technische Neuheiten. Its technology-driven spirit of innovation was evident from early on: Frank F. Wiegand revolutionized the printing industry with a novel screen printing frame.

In 1967, in collaboration with Dr. Ühlinger, then chief physician at Bülach District Hospital, he developed the first medication dispenser called “Bülach” – an important step towards increasing patient safety. This development laid the foundation for the later success of Wiegand AG, which was founded in 1975.

Sustainable values and innovative spirit

Frank F. Wiegand’s vision continues to guide the company to this day: to create solutions that increase patient safety and minimize medication errors. Thanks to its innovative spirit, hard work, and strong partnerships, Wiegand AG has grown steadily over the years.

A special event was held with partners, suppliers, and companions to mark the company’s 50th anniversary. Visitors experienced 50 years of Wiegand and took part in an interactive tour that brought the company’s origins and development to life. The supporting program also included an exhibition in cooperation with dhc Bülach, where four startups presented their innovative solutions. The event was accompanied by speeches from the mayor of Bülach, Mark Eberli, and Stefan Lienhart, CEO of dhc Bülach.
