WIEGAND^® BlisterBoxes were developed for the purpose of hygienically storing blister strips. The blister-backed medications for each patient can be stored in dedicated individual BlisterBoxes for up to 2 weeks. By pulling on the end of the rolled-up blister strip, it is possible to easily tear along the perforated line to dispense a single blister at each drug round.

WIEGAND^® Starter Sets provide support in the process of dispensing medications stored in strip blister-pack format. Each set contains a label for each resident, a practical holder for the blister pack, and a MediCup for dispensing of medications removed from blisters.

The required patient data and the patient’s photo can be printed onto the labels included, which can be stuck onto the holder. This contributes to higher levels of patient safety due to the additional visual identification check.
